FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll
– GAMES PLAYED THROUGH SEPTEMBER 5, 2016 –
|-Alabama remained atop the poll after its victory over USC in Arlington, Texas, receiving 40 of a possible 44 first-place votes.
-Florida State jumped up to No. 2 after its come-from-behind victory over Ole Miss on Monday night in Orlando. The Seminoles received two first-place votes.
-Oklahoma fell from No. 2 to No. 16 after losing to Houston. The Cougars moved up eight spots from No. 14 to No. 6.
-LSU, after losing to Wisconsin, fell completely out of the poll. Georgia, Texas and Wisconsin jumped into the poll this week after big victories and are ranked 9-11, respectively. Washington moved from No. 15 to No. 8 after beating Rutgers. Notre Dame fell out of the poll after losing to Texas as did UCLA after it lost at Texas A&M.
-The Big Ten leads all conferences with four teams in the poll. The ACC, SEC and Big 12 have three each. The Pac-12 has two and the American has one.
