FWAA-NFF Super 16 Poll – Week 2
GAMES PLAYED THROUGH SEPTEMBER 11, 2016
|-Alabama remained atop the poll, receiving 42 of a possible 45 first-place votes after dispatching Western Kentucky. Florida State remained at No. 2 and Clemson and Ohio State swapped places from a week ago.
-There was little dramatic movement in the poll. TCU fell out after a double-overtime home loss to unranked Arkansas. Clemson’s narrow victory over Troy caused it to move down a spot. Likewise, Georgia fell six spots from No. 9 to No. 15 after easing past Nicholls State by two points in Athens. Iowa enters the poll at No.14.
-The Big Ten leads all conferences with five teams. The ACC and SEC have three each, and the Big 12 and Pac-12 have two each. The American had the other team.
