Games Played Through November 6th


-Alabama shut out LSU in Baton Rouge and posted its 21st consecutive victory in remaining atop the poll with three regular-season games remaining before a possible slot in the SEC title game. The Crimson Tide received 44 of a possible 45 first-place votes. No. 2 Michigan picked up the other first-place vote.

-The top four teams in the poll remained in the same order for a third straight week. Ohio State and Louisville flipped places from a week ago in the Nos. 5 and 6 spots. Nebraska, Florida and Baylor all dropped out of the poll after losses. They were replaced by first-timers Penn State, Colorado and Oklahoma State.

-The SEC and Big Ten had four teams each; the Pac-12 and Big 12 three each; and the ACC two.

KEY GAMES THIS WEEK: Mississippi State at No. 1 Alabama; No. 2 Michigan at Iowa; Pittsburgh at No. 3 Clemson; USC at No. 4 Washington; No. 5 Ohio State at Maryland; Wake Forest at No. 6 Louisville; Illinois at No. 7 Wisconsin; No. 8 Auburn at Georgia; Baylor at No. 9 Oklahoma; No. 10 Penn State at Indiana; Mississippi at No. 11 Texas A&M; No. 12 West Virginia at Texas; No. 13 Utah at Arizona State (Thursday); No. 14 Colorado at Arizona; Texas Tech at No. 15 Oklahoma State; No. 16 LSU at Arkansas.
