NFL Donates to Hurricane Irma Relief Efforts

One Million dollars from the NFL Foundation

The NFL Foundation will contribute $1 million to Hurricane Irma relief efforts to be split evenly between the American Red Cross and the five living former American Presidents’ One America Appeal, it was announced today.

Both organizations will address the immediate needs of those impacted throughout Florida and the Florida Keys, while some of the Red Cross funds will support the hardest hit areas in the Caribbean.

The NFL Foundation’s donation will match the respective $1 million contributions of the Jacksonville Jaguars to Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund, the Miami Dolphins to the AARP Foundation Miami Dolphins Hurricane Irma Relief Fund and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the American Red Cross.

Our thoughts are with the various communities impacted by both Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma during this difficult time. The entire NFL family – including players, teams, and fans – is committed to continuing to support relief efforts.

The NFL encourages fans to text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red Cross Hurricane Relief and to visit oneamericaappeal.org to donate to the fund.
