Super 16 Poll: Week 2

Bulldogs and Horned Frogs crack the Top 16
NOTES: The top seven teams in the poll remained the same after the second week of play. Only minor changes occurred elsewhere. Alabama remained the top-ranked team followed by Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Auburn and Wisconsin in spots Nos. 2-7. Stanford moved up one spot to No. 8, exchanging places with Notre Dame, which moved down one slot.
Michigan State, which lost at Arizona State, and USC, which fell at Stanford, both dropped from the poll. Those teams were replaced by Mississippi State, which recorded a big road victory at Kansas State, and TCU, which moved back into the poll after a week’s absence.
