2019 Senior Bowl Recap
Four biggest winners of the week
Tyree Jackson QB Buffalo
I have loved Tyree Jackson all season and I am very happy to see him finally get some love. I still think he is a project, he currently reminds me of a poor man’s Cam Newton. He showed that he can be more consistent, even when throwing to relatively unknown targets. I will be excited to see where he goes in the draft but also how early he gets selected. He currently has a third-round grade from me but if he can perform like this throughout the draft process, the second round isn’t out of the question.
Andy Isabella WR UMass
Okay, funny story, I still play NCAA Football 14 for the Xbox 360. EA, please bring that franchise back. Thanks to people who make those roster updates you can use current players and this pre-season I chose UMASS at the program I was going to turn around. Andy Isabella played a massive role in my time at UMASS on the video game and he played like he was in a video game at the senior bowl. His career stats are off the charts and I think in the right system he could contribute on some level in the NFL.
Hunter Renfrow WR Clemson
Renfrow looked untouchable in the one on one workouts during the week. He was routinely cooking opposing DBs with impressive footwork and balance. He played well in the game as well, even making an impact in the punt return game. Renfrow has New England Patriot written all over him. If a guy like Sean Payton, Bill Belichick, Matt Nagy, or Sean McVay get their hands on Mr. Renfrow the league better take notice.
Khalen Saunders DT Western Illinois
I had no idea who Khalen Saunders was coming into the Senior Bowl, just being honest. This kid was an absolute force for the entirety that he was on the field. Saunders was virtually unblockable, and he has something you cannot teach, a motor. He dominated in the pass game and even showed he can help run stuff. He’s raw but don’t be surprised if he ends up going on day two if he keeps this up the entire draft process.
