What. A. Week.

Antonio Brown went from fined, to suspended, to cut, to signed quicker than Hollywood Brown streaking thru the Dolphins secondary.

The NFL opening on a Thursday feels kind of dirty, but I’ve grown to accept it. I feel this opening night and Thanksgiving should be the only Thursday games all year, but that cat is already out of the bag…  Offenses in the Packers/Bears game were flat out offensive. PERHAPS playing a BIT in the preseason is valuable, eh???  1st & 40 is a big time mood…

Boise, woof. Not the way to prove your road win at Florida State wasn’t a fluke…

Army, for the second year in a row took a Power Five Blue Blood to double overtime ON THE ROAD and came away with no wins… UCLA, woof. I get to see them in person this weekend against Oklahoma and OU fans may outnumber Bruins 2-to-1. Send Pasadena food recommendations… Colorado/Nebraska was a treat… Props to Clemson for trying to preserve the -17.5 spread… BYU dude who tackled the Tennessee quarterback then tossed his shoe like a grenade towards the sideline, you can play on my team any day… This ESPN/ABC thing where the starting quarterback is introduced by a parent has GOT to go. Garbage… Props to ESPN for announcing they are going to Ames this coming weekend for GameDay. Iowa State has one of my favorite tailgating environments of all time… Joe Burrow, go ahead young fella…

Atlanta, you are REALLY making me consider NFL Fandom Free Agency… Marquise. “Hollywood”. Brown. Welcome to the show… Gardner Minshew and his mustache. Welcome to the show… Don’t know if I am late to the party on this one, but the “Legion of Zoom” moniker for the Chiefs has me in love… DJax, if only for one game, had a sweet homecoming… OBJ wearing a watch that cost more than a lot of peoples houses is a big flex. So is being a good teammate and contributing to his teams success. 1 out of 2 ain’t bad… The real test of longevity in the NFL is between Patriots QB Tom Brady and Fox play-by-play announcer Dick Stockton. I am ready for both to be done… Is Ben Roethlisberger washed up? I’ll start the movement… Jason Whitlock tweeting that he is investing his 401k on the Steelers then promptly deleting his account, not the tweet, HIS ENTIRE TWITTER ACCOUNT within 24 hours is just one of those things you hate to see…

The Saints fans who flocked to the Superdome dressed as officials are very confused… Then they booed when a play DID get reviewed… Deandre Hopkins belly to back suplex was a fine play, should not have been penalized… The final five minutes of Texans/Saints was gold… Denver, got absolutely embarrassed…

Helmet Stickers
ESPN Analyst Kirk Herbstreit – “Texas started claiming DBU..I didn’t know they were in the discussion”

Coastal Carolina – having a Jayhawks pinata at the ready to celebrate a road win at Kansas>>>>>>>

Purdue WR Rondale Moore – 13 catches, 220 yards, and a score. Catch him in West Lafayette while you can, Sundays in 2021.

Hawaii WR JoJo Ward – 10 catches, 189 yards, four (4!!!) touchdowns. Get this man to the Senior Bowl, needs a bigger stage to showcase his talents.

Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins – Welcome back to the show

Chargers LB Thomas Davis – Old man still got it. 14 tackles.

Cardinals LB Terrell Suggs – Old man still got it. 2 sacks.

Texans QB Deshaun Watson – Driving the ball downfield, accurate passing, in spite of his coaches led his team to a late lead. Can’t pin that one on him.

Cowboys Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore – One game in, but damn son. Seems to have an equal balance of a quality concept, ability to match it to the talent, and balls. A lot of play callers are worried about job security. Moore is young, and either too young to know better or knows he is playing with house money.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs – Became the first player to have 100+ yards from scrimmage and 2 TD’s in his first NFL game since Ladainian Tomlinson in 2001. Yo.
