Positional Rankings, plus 3 to Watch this week!

by Three Point Stance Magazine Scouting Director Justin Day | @NFLScoutingDay |

The combine is finally upon us! So what better way to get excited for gym shorts, non-contact football than a pre combine ranking? Also I’m going to give you three guys to keep your eye on while watching the big show! If you missed my 2020 NFL Mock Draft 1.0, you can get it here. Lets see if anyone improved their stock in Indianapolis.

  1. Grant Delpit LSU
  2. Xavier McKinney Alabama
  3. Kyle Dugger Lenior-Rhyne

3 Players to keep an eye on:

  1. Jacob Eason QB Washington: Big strong kid who is at the very least going to look the part and have the arm to wow the evaluators. In three years of college football at Georgia and Washington respectively, he put up 39 TDs to 16 INTs. I think he’s a kid who will go late first, even though I think he is a late 2nd to early 3rd round talent.
  2. Henry Ruggs III WR Alabama: I have Ruggs as my second WR behind his college teammate but a solid showing at the combine could move him ahead and make him my WR1. I think he has a legitimate shot to break Chris Johnson’s 40-yard dash record. I am very excited to watch him in the gauntlet drill.
  3. Lamar Jackson CB Nebraska: What a name, am I right? He shares a name with the Baltimore Ravens QB and he may be trying to pick him off in upcoming games. This Lamar Jackson is a big 6 foot 3 215 lb raw corner who can flat out ball. He has five interceptions over the last two seasons and with NFL level coaching he could become a steal in this draft. I want to see how fluid he is in his backpedal and stride in the on field drills.
